Once upon a time in a land far far away (St Louis, Missouri to be exact) a little girl named Natalie was dreaming of meeting her handsome prince and getting married and living happily ever after.

Natalie grew up and found a fabulous career in the music industry where destiny would have her meet her prince. One day she happened upon a spiffing english gentleman who stole her heart away. Queue one long distance relationship, several visits and multiple visa applications and then they were ready for their happily ever after.

All that was left was to add to their little family. And how lucky were they!! They were gifted with the most precious little baby boy!!

On the 21st of May baby Rio made his entrance into the world! and this little baby was the most loved and most wanted little baby that ever there was.

Rio's whole family were just so keen to meet him that they all flew over from St Louis to wait patiently for his arrival.

Natalie contacted me a few months before Rio was born to start planning his newborn session. Now Natalie is a girl who knows what she wants!! She wasn't keen on lots of props and fuss, instead choosing to have simple, natural portraits of her precious little bundle.

Rio's session was one of the most emotional sessions I have ever experienced. When mummy and daddy came back to see their images I cried right along side Natalie as she looked at her beautiful family with her gorgeous little baby.

Rio's simple images were absolutely breathtaking and m honestly so pleased that Natalie decided to have this type of session as opposed to my usual posed type.

It's always such an honour to be chosen to capture this special time in a family's life, and not one that i take for granted. Thank you Natalie and Judd for allowing me to be a part of your's and Rio's memories.
